In case my title wasn't clear, there is a big spoiler reveal in this journal for Detective Pikachu. Do not read beyond here if you don't want it to be spoiled, and don't flame me for spoiling it when I've already warned you. Enjoy the read!
So firstly, I think Detective Pikachu was a really great movie. This is coming from a fanboy, but I had major reservations about a live-action Pokemon movie. This one exceeded all expectations I had for it. But as I think about it, and replay the ending in my head, one thing stuck out like a sore thumb: Ryan Reynolds.
